Hello CopyNighters!
CopyNight this month will be at our usual time and place. There is no
set topic or guest this month but there are certainly tons of stories in
the news worth discussing. The report for the White House IP Czar is
certainly getting a lot of attention. Speaking of reports, there are a
couple news ones out on either said of the argument though the
anti-piracy one in Australia is getting as much attention for its
questionable authorship. Following news of Chris Dodd revolving out to
the MPAA, former FCC Chair Michael Powell is headed to a cable industry
lobbying group. And there is no lack of frivolous stories like the James
Joyce estate issuing a complaint against Craig Ventner for inscribing a
quote on some DNA.
